Visitors vote for their favourite print at Newbury Photography Club’s 80th Anniversary Exhibition

Between 19th July and 21st September, the Club presented an Exhibition of framed prints at Greenham Control Tower. This Exhibition featured 40 prints from some of the favourites of 23 Club Members covering a variety of themes.

A total of 428 votes were cast by visitors to the Exhibition, and every print received at least one vote which demonstrates the diverse interests of the multi-generational visitors.  The winning prints were:

First place            Welsh Rainforest by Mick Snaith

Second place      Sweet Treats by Beryl Franklin

Third place          Stokkness Beach by Ray Hems

Fourth place        Playing Chicken by Peter Thompson

Three prints tied for fifth place: Rob Carpenter’s Southbound Bus, Kevin Sheldrake’s Kintbury Walk and Paul Sievers’s Fly Agaric Fungi.

The Club would like to thank all visitors for their interest and comments and Greenham Control Tower for the opportunity for displaying this Exhibition.
